Eleanor Roosevelt:

The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experiences.

If we were meant to be

I had some stuff i needed to get off my chest so i wrote this poem

If we were meant to be my eyes would glitter with happiness
If we were meant to be my heart would be fulfilled
If we were meant to be i would feel love
If we were meant to be i would miss you when we are apart
If we were meant to be i would smile with joy
If we were meant to be i would melt with every touch
If we were meant to be i would be content
If we were meant to be i would know what true love is.

hi Ness,

i just wanted to say don't ever do anything like stay with someone you don't love for the sake of your child. they won't thank you for it. your baby knows when you are not happy and they also start to pick up on why you are not happy, i.e. Daddy...

my son was 2 when i left and he has been shared 50/50 since then. he is well adjusted, happy and my aunt who is a childrens psychiatrist said the way he is able to adjust to the changing homes is amazing and all because we offer a happy home.

to quote my GP in Perth "parents who don't live together dont make kids unhappy it's parents that don't get along together"

good on you for having the strength to end things.

there were days when the only reason i smiled was because of my son and i kept thinking, this isn't fair on him, to be the only light in my life, that my happiness depends on my little 2 year old. so i left and NEVER looked back, no matter how hard it seemed at times.

good luck and Seb is lucky to have you as a Mum!
:-)
