I swear we had a mini Cyclone

Oh my god how scarey and cool! Bendigo had this cool strom thing happen about 7.30pm last nite!! Not cool that the power in my area had been out from then until 2.30am this morning! So it was off to the Apco Service station for me at 12.30am this morning in my PJ's to heat up Seb's bottles and put them in a thermo bag to keep warm. Yes everything at our house is electric so i had no way to heat up the bottles! Seb was a little freaked out by the thunder and lightening and wouldn't sleep but eventually got him to sleep!!! On my way to the servo we have a park near our house and my god i so hope no one was sitting there as all these massive branches off the trees had come down. I was trying to take pictures with my brothers camera but the stupid thing wouldn't change from black and white to Color. Out the front of our unit the guttering must of rotted away and we had a mini water fall it looked really funny, but funny not that our laundry was a little flooded with water!!

The neighbours TV aerial is still connected but i don't know how as it was getting a good bashing with the wind. I was watching it from our kitchen window, i so thought it was going flying!

God damn must attend to the child who is being restless!! *brb* K where was I

My brother got home an hour later than usual. He works at coles and said that they were so flat out!! Safeway had closed down due to floody and a couple of the other supermarkets didn't have power and they had to close down so coles was the only one open. he said so many people came in asking for candles and they got sick of telling people which isle they were in they made a mini display at the front of the store!! He said that just as the storm hit they were getting a delivery into the store!! He said the wind and rain was coming into the store room and then had emergency calls from Front end as the roof was leaking in 5 different places and there bakery started to flood due to the rain coming through some doors!!! So he had a very busy nite!!

The rain was good i must admit, but i had never seen anything like it. From clear skies to thunder and lightening, then a dust strom then strong winds and rain!! Can't wait to see the news to see how much damage had been done! and for the rising of the sun so i can get in my car and go for a drive around town and see how lucky we were really where!

Lucky you! We were without power that whole night, plus all of yesterday. Not fun with no air con, power or even a pump to pump water. It was restored again at 6 last night, then went out again at 9 for the whole night. No fun at all.

But the lightning was spectacular! We lost a lot of trees on our farm.
